PC Mag has released an article that compares Android Tablet applications with those from the iPad:

The iPad Wins Because Android Tablet Apps Suck: An Illustrated Guide

It seems that developers are not investing in Android tablets, probably because their market share remains too low. Developers need to make money, companies need to see value in developing for Android tablets, and without a substantial market share, that won’t happen. It is in many ways the classic “Chicken and Egg” situation; accentuated according to PG Mag, by the fact that most Android phone apps run okay on the tablet.

Going forward this may change if Android tablets manage to eek out an improved market share, and more value can be delivered by developing for them. In the meantime, a responsive design website may give a better experience for a reasonable investment.
