Nokia Turns to a Loss – Here’s What They Must Do

Nokia announced Q1 sales earnings:
Nokia reported that quarterly sales were 7.4 billion euros, down from 10.4 billion euros a year ago. On the earnings side, the company lost 25 euro cents per share.
Q1 must have been very difficult for Nokia as smartphone competitors gnawed away at their market share before their new Windows Phones were ready.
Their old bread and butter business of selling feature-phones has gone and they must accelerate forward to produce better quality hardware on Windows Phones or they are completely toast. Nokia’s CEO, Canadian Stephen Elop, at least seems to recognize this!
